Affectionately known as ‘the original Augie’s’ or ‘the mother ship’ this is actually the second location for the original store! Originally located behind the Carol Stream Fire Station #29, in a strip mall named Gina’s Plaza, Augustino’s began as a modest Italian Grocery Store. In the late 80’s Augie and Jerry built the current free standing building, doing much of the work themselves. Jerry even put down the tile floor himself, coming over each night after closing the doors on their first location to complete the work.
Now, almost thirty years later, customers enter through an 18 foot replica of a wurlitzer juke box and are greeted by lively banter and a whirl of activity. If the line is out the door, don’t be afraid - Augie’s is ALWAYS worth the wait.
NEW! Augie’s in Carol Stream has a fun little video gaming area, featuring five slot machines with a wide range of games available to our customers over 21 years of age. Each month a portion of our proceeds along with donations from our gaming customers are donated to a local pre-selected charity. At Augustino’s we’re enjoying the ability to “Play It Forward!”
Located on the corner of Route 64 (North Avenue) and Route 59 in West Chicago, ‘Augie’s West’ is adorned with huge red piano, guitar and even TALLER juke box!
Inside the walls are adorned with museum quality memorabilia (check out the signed guitars!). Plus this location boasts a drive thru providing the challenge of creating fresh food in a timely manner. Thus began one of our favorite slogans: Augie’s not fast food. We’re good food, fast!
No matter which location you visit, you can be sure our commitment to value, quality and service is still our first priority. With generations of fans, Augustino’s remains a great place for great food at a great price.
